When choosing a binder it is always important to consider the following:
Question 1: What do you plan on binding – manuals, menus, presentations, log books ect.
Question 2: How thick is the book going to be? Number of pages?
Question 3: Where is the book going to be used? Formal environment, Daily Use, documents that changes every month, ect
Question 4: Which method would work best for your use?
Question 5: How many books will you need to bind daily? Home use, Copy Shop or Industrial
All of these questions will help determine the work load of the machine and the binding method to be used. As there are several methods of binding (Plastic Comb, Wire element, Thermal, YouBind, Glue bind and clip bind). When you know the number of pages in a book it will determine which method. The final answer would target the correct machine for your use based on the number of books daily. Be sure to ask these questions before selecting a binder to prevent paying for the wrong machine.
We hope that this makes selecting a binder easier if you are still not very sure feel free to ask a D.O.S sales person.
